My love of horse introduced me to the world of art. Fortunate to grow up on a farm in Ashland ,Ky.,surrounded by horses, I drew a lot of crayon horse portraits. Do what you love, well i love horses. I studied art in school, which lead to an early career in drafting. At that time, living inthe horse capital of the world, i was able to feed my hunger for all things horse in my spare time. I began my professional career doing pet portraits. I had found my lifes calling, I left drafting to pursue fine arts full time.
When Pendleton Art Center opened in Ashland ,Ky, I Opened a gallery space and began selling my paintings ,as well as my prints.2010 i became co manager of the Pendleton. My good friendand fellow artist, and I joined forces to form" Make A Scean Murals "and and over the next decade ,we painted a series of floodwall murals in both Ashland and Catlettsburge. Last summer, we were ingaged by city officals to do a historic mural on the side of the entire building in downtown Louisa. Painting on such a large scale was very exciting ! In March of 2015 , my personal life brought me back to my first love, horses, when I moved back to lexington. I am very excited to be here again as i feel Lexington is experiencing an explosionof art. Doing what I love, in Lexington !
